Lily Mae (new name Chicory given by her father) had to go in last night for some emergency surgery. Poor sweetie had an impacted anal gland sac that got infected and ruptured as an abscess with her obsessive licking. Yeah. That will keep me from eating for about a week. Ugh. She was a champ through the surgery but is not very pleased with the prospect of wearing her Elizabethan collar for the next two weeks. I'm babying her and trying to keep her comfy but it's going to be a long two weeks...

She will always be Lily Mae to me! Poor sweetie...I hope she'll get used to it soon. I recommend as much spoiling as she will accept and little treats. Marmie
