The newest addition to my cleaning arsenal

The Eureka enviro steamer!! I've been wanting one of these steam mops for awhile now because my Swiffer Wet Jet broke and I hate mopping with a bucket and soap (and have been making Jeff do it since the death of the Wet Jet). Between Lily Mae's puking and our failed promises of taking our shoes off at the door, our floors get pretty gross. Every day I thank the sweet baby Jesus though for our hardwood floors. I really don't know how you carpet people do it. With the right tools, cleaning hardwood (and linoleum and lovely IKEA laminate) requires little effort.

I love my Bissel vacuum that we just got, and use it often. It's a little big though so my Swiffer vacuum still really comes in handy for quick jobs of sucking up kitty litter and dirt in front of the doors. Because of my good experience with the vacuum, I was pretty excited when I saw Bissel's other offering, the Steam Mop. Steam mops use only really hot water to clean. You don't have to put in any cleaner or chemicals, just water, which is nice. You'll always have water on hand, and I won't have to worry about what I'm cleaning the floors with when baby comes along. I was excited too that it came in my favorite mint green color. But of course, I'm all about the reviews so after doing my research, I found out the Bissel didn't fare too well. It doesn't get that hot which is really the secret of the cleaning magic. All reviews pointed to the Eureka. And the Eureka has a mint green head too!! Sold.

It came the other day in the mail and I fired it up yesterday. I love it. Maybe more than Jeff. No, just kidding. But really, it cleans well. Mopping just became fun again. For me.
